Bringing up Baby - 1938
One of the first black and white movies I really remember watching was “Bringing up baby” with Cary Grant and Katherine Hepburn.
To this day, it is probably one of my all time favorites. The story line, the perfect timing and the way Cary and Katherine play off from one another – brilliant! Throw in a leopard for good measure and you have an enduring classic. I especially love how Cary Grant’s character “Mr. David Huxley” is a proper paleontologist trying to make a good impression to get a grant for the museum. The day before his wedding, he ends up getting a lot more than he bargained for when he meets Susan and her pet “Baby”. Full of mishap, adventure and chaos. If you’ve never seen it, please take the time to do so, I’m sure you will not be disappointed. Enjoy!
